Rosanna Heating and Cooling have partnered with the Victorian Government initiative – The Home Heating and Cooling Upgrade Program, to provide eligible Victorian home owners with up to a $1,700 rebate to upgrade their old heater with a new energy efficient reverse cycle split system.

About the Program

The Victorian Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades Program offers eligible Victorians up to a $1,700 rebate to replace their old gas, electric or wood-fire heater with a new energy efficient electric reverse cycle (one that heats as well as cools) split system.

STEP 1 - APPLY FOR REBATE

Applications must be done directly via the Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades portal. Successful applicants will be issued with a Rebate Token. See "Apply Here" button below.

Currently, eligible Victorians (owner-occupier household) who need to replace an inefficient heating system, and hold a concession card, or have a combined income of less than $90,000, can apply for the $1,000 rebate.

Currently, eligible Victorians (owner-occupier household) who are approved to replace an inefficient heating system, can apply for the $1,000 rebate.

Applicants can also apply for an additional $200 if they need to cap their old gas heater and $500 if they need to upgrade their switchboard to safely install a split system.

Rental properties are presently not eligible for the program. The program will be expanded to include rental properties in the future. Keep checking for updates.

The old, inefficient system must be decommissioned.

Removal will be at discretion of householder and by agreement with installers.

No. Households must confirm they are eligible before buying a heater as rebates will not be paid retrospectively and the token issued to you at time of approval is only valid for 60 days. A further application will be required if outside of 60 days.

A reverse-cycle split system can heat as well as cool and is one of the cheapest ways to heat your home in winter. In cooling mode, it extracts heat from the indoor air and moves it outside, via pipes connecting the indoor and outdoor units. In winter it ‘absorbs’ heat from the outdoor air to warm the air inside.

How it Works

To access the Victorian Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades program you must …

1. Learn about the program and gain approval first from www.heatingupgrades.vic.gov.au

2. Once approved, you will receive a token. Next, book your in home consultation by calling us on (03) 9459 6700, or using the contact form on this page.

3. Our experienced salespeople will complete your home consultation and prepare your quote.

4. Once you have reviewed your quote and decided on one of the eligible products, accept the quote and pay the ‘balance’. The balance is the total amount less the rebates.

5. Our staff will then schedule your installation (and removal if applicable) for a time that suits you.

6. Our team will professionally complete your upgrade, supplying you with relevant compliancy certificates, tax invoice and warranty documents.
